Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. - Romans 12:1 (NIV)
As the year goes by, we will many ups and downs in our lives. Admist all these, we always have to ask ourselves: How are we living our lives?
1. Be Thankful
-
Humility is not thinking less of myself, but thinking of ourselves less.
-
How we perceive what God did for us on the cross determines how we love our lives.
-
Do we view what God has given to us as a curse or a blessing?
2. Be Willing
-
Pure love is a willingness to give without a thought of receiving anything in return.
-
A willing heart clears up one's schedule for God, and not fit God in one's schedule.
-
Abraham was willing to sacrifice his son to obey God; Jesus was willing to endure the pain and die on the cross for us.
3. Be Holy
-
Holiness is a command, not a request.
-
God is not restricting us by his commandments, but he is protecting us.
-
Repay evil with good.
